I have also attached the NY Climate Exchange Programming Plan. The Plan describes the set of issues and activities - covering education, research, workforce development, policy development, and public programming - the Exchange intends to pursue in our first year of operation. This programming seeks to build on what one or many partners may already be doing, looking at this existing base of work through the lens of where our collective efforts can add the greatest value. Dear C3 Community,

Are you interested in hosting or partnering on a Climate Week (September 22-29, 2024) event on Governors Island?

The Exchange is soliciting proposals for Climate Week events according to the following process. We will proceed with proposals that have the most potential for impact and align most closely with the vision and goals of The Exchange. We plan to fill our temporary space on Governors Island with programming throughout the week while also having a presence across NYC. We anticipate solidifying our Climate Week schedule by June 1.

Dear C3 Community - you are invited to a 2024 Earth Day Event at BMCC!

NYC Green Infrastructure Mapping

Become a Citizen Scientist for Earth Day and Help Reduce Flash Flooding in NYC Climate change has led to heavier rainfall and hurricanes-often resulting in catastrophic flooding. We can help protect neighborhoods from flooding by identifying vulnerable areas. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can help us to map these areas and use the data to develop action plans for environmental resilience, e.g. rain gardens (green infrastructure).
